Memorial Day tribute for Veterans at
The 12th Annual Koroneburg Renaissance Festival

Struggling non-profit that promotes reading and literacy throughout Southern California with its community out-reach program through the organization’s Knights of the Fabled Reader, has opened the doors to the 12th Annual Koroneburg Renaissance Festival.

Plagued by a change of their street name from River Road to Baron Dr guests are having a difficult time locating this great event.  Baron Dr is not on any GPS or mapping searches so the organization is telling the public to use the Old River Road address and follow the signs to the festival.

In addition to the street name change, the County of Riverside and the US Army Corp of Engineers is doing bridge construction on River Road.  They have closed the newly named Baron Dr from the main street.  Guests must follow detour signs to the festival.

The attendance for the first two weekends has been much less than anticipated.  The organization is hoping for a redeeming third weekend.  The Festival is open weekends and Monday Memorial Day now through June 14, 2009.  Memorial Day features a moving service honoring all veterans throughout the ages from the Roman era to the present.

Veterans with I.D. or DD-214 will be admitted free.  The service starts at 12-noon.  It is extremely moving while honoring all fallen veterans.  The Koroneburg Renaissance Festival lost one of their own in Iraq last year, have people now serving and other veterans at the Festival have serve more three tours of duty.  We are in the process of fund raising to erect a Church in the memory of our fallen Koroneburg hero.

The literacy program, Knights of the Fabled Readers, and all of the veterans who have served this country so bravely are dear to our hearts.  We are hopeful that this Memorial Day Weekend brings success and unfading memories.

The Festival opens at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Monday, Memorial day.  Help support the Knights of the Fabled Reader literacy program and our veterans this weekend, May 23, 24 & 25. The Festival runs weekends through June 14.

The Koroneburg Renaissance Festival is held every spring in Corona.  Its permanent home is at 14600 Baron Dr (was River Road) at Archibald near Corona and Norco.

SURVIVORS IN ACTION FOUNDER ADVOCATES USE OF GPS TECHNOLOGY FOR RESTRAINING ORDER AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE CASES

Alexis A. Moore, founder and President of Survivors in Action, cyberstalking expert and victim advocate was interviewed on the Good Morning America show today, Monday, May 18, 2009 to discuss stalking and the use of GPS technology in domestic violence and restraining orders cases. Alexis is a strong supporter and advocate of fighting back against abuse with GPS Tracking Technology that enforces restraining orders.  The ABC news story can be seen and read here

Alexis’ goal is to ensure that victims of crime and those who love serve and support them have a place to turn to for help and for resources. She helps to train victim advocates, LE, prosecutors, attorneys and others regarding privacy protection and cybercrimes and she continue to speak out with the press to help ensure that “no victim is left behind”.  Her story will inspire those who are victims of any crime to reach out for help and to know that if she could make it – they can make it.

Alexis herself is a survivor of Domestic Violence, traditional stalking and cyberstalking and a long time resident of El Dorado Hills, California.  She started Survivors In Action in 2007, a national non-profit crime victims organization with the mission of “No Victim Left Behind”- because of her own personal experiences as a victim of crime. The El Dorado County Women’s center now known as the Center for Violence Free Relationships turned her away and refused to shelter her because of her batterers occupation and this was the beginning of what she can best describe as a living hell that she endured on her pathway to change from victim to survivor.

Alexis learned that there weren’t any organization anywhere in the nation that could or would assist her.  She also discovered that there were literally millions of other victims of stalking and cyberstalking who were falling through the cracks and she vowed to use her professional experiences working as a high-tech investigator and her own personal experience of having being victimized by crime to help become a catalyst for change so that no victim is left behind.

Alexis is the nation’s expert in matters of cyberstalking and consumer/victim privacy protection. She lobbies and advocate for better laws and testify frequently at Senate and Assembly public safety hearings to help ensure that laws are passed that will assist victims of crime.

Alexis Moore is also the host of Taking Action Radio show which airs Monday evenings and in November of 2008, she founded Crime Victim Organization & Advocate Network which is the nation’s first online collaborative that provides a place for law enforcement, prosecutors, attorneys, forensic medical examiners, victim advocates and crime victim organizations with a place to network and share information in real time regarding specific cases, legislation, training, fundraising and they also discuss individual needs of victims networking with one another so that no victim is left behind.
